5-foot-6, 140 pounds. RHP/MIF/OF. R/R. Versatile player that can play all positions except catcher. Pitching is her top strength. Strikeout pitcher (167 SO in 88 IP as junior). Fastball (4-seam and 2-seam) is 60-64 mph (can move in/out, up/down and hit corners; when gets good spin on it, it drops). Changeup is 48-52 mph (can throw for strikes, usually low in zone, good deception). Riseball (58 mph) is most recent pitching working to develop. Has good arm whip and snap. Working on pushing off and a better drive and getting more movement. At the plate, is a line-drive and gap extra-base hitter. Usually hits in top 4 in the lineup. Makes very good contact, sees the ball well, generates power with legs and hips. Rarely strikes out. Working to get a faster hand path through the ball. At SS/2B, has good range and shows athleticism. Working on throwing quicker and having quicker feet. Very good work ethic. Participates in a lifting class, works out at home, sees a pitching coach twice a week and a hitting coach once a week. Dedicated, great teammate, leads by example, great knowledge of the game. Excellent student (3.78 unweighted GPA with many Honors/AP/Advanced classes).

Paeton is a high-end, multi-sport athlete that excels in softball. Her commitment to strength and conditioning has only increased her success on the field. She is steady and composed in the circle. Her mix of her two-seam with an elusive changeup allows her to keep batters off balance. At the plate, Paeton is a tough out with great speed and power. Paeton is versatile and can play multiple positions at the next level. An area that Paeton may continue to improve is adding that next pitch to be able to move through a line-up the second or third time. Any team would be lucky and love to have Paeton on their roster. She is a great competitor, teammate and leader. Paeton will continue to work and improve. Her ability to accept coaching and navigate success and failure will allow her to be extremely successful at the next level.

MESSAGE FROM PAETON
My name is Paeton Kringel, and I will be graduating from New London High School (WI) in 2022. My height is 5-foot-7, and I weigh 140 pounds. I mainly am a pitcher (60-64 mph fastball; 12-3, 0.64 ERA, 167 SO, 88 IP), but I also play middle infield and outfield (62 mph overhand). I have taken Honors courses, AP classes, Project Lead The Way courses (PLTW) and dual-credit classes throughout my high school career. This is all while obtaining a 3.76 GPA. One thing that stands out about me is that I am very persistent. I will work hard on something until I am able to figure it out and get it right. I am motivated to be the best student, athlete and person that I can be.
On and off of the softball field, I am a very vocal person. On the field, I am constantly encouraging my teammates or communicating the game situation. I like to have a strong bond with my teammates and coaches, and I believe that all stems from good communication. Off the softball field, I am very motivated to make myself stronger. I lift every day, either during my weight training class during the school year or at my house. I also do some sort of cardio each day, whether it’s going for a run, going on the elliptical or the stair climber. I enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. I have taken two AP classes, three PLTW classes, one dual-credit Class and three Honors classes. I have been in High Honors and am a member of five clubs at my high school – DECA, B.E.S.T (Bringing Exceptional Students Together), Student Council, Principals Leadership Council and National Honors Society. I am also the Community Service DECA Officer for our chapter. This exemplifies my leadership skills by planning out an event and running it successfully! I always lead by positive reinforcement and by setting a good example.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me, and I hope to hear from you in the future!
