Varsity letter (freshman & sophomore)
USSSA Future Select Great Lakes Region All-American
5-4, 120 pounds. R/R; RHP/3B/OF. A true two-way player (No. 3 hitter on club team and was a varsity pitcher as a freshman). 56-57 mph fastball. Best pitch is riseball (gets lots of swings and misses, late break but working on even later break). 42-45 mph changeup (strikeout pitch, good deception). Dropball is very good when it’s working, but needs to be more consistent so doesn’t throw often. At least 1K/inning. Gets pitching lessons and also pitches with dad 1-2 times/week. At the plate, has high OB% (.997 OPS in 2019 club season). Waits for her pitch. Turns on inside and low pitches (sometimes too early on and pulls foul). Good bat speed (65 mph exit). Quick hands. Uses legs well. Working to improve not getting out in front and getting her timing more consistent. At 3B, quick reactions. Good range on glove side to SS and backhands toward the line. Effective at charging bunts. Working to improve arm velocity (57 mph). In OF, tracks balls well and gets good reads. Has arm strength to throw from deep in the OF to home plate. Excellent student (3.89 GPA, 24 ACT, takes Honors courses). Looking to major in something in the medical field.

Morgan is a fantastic student-athlete. She is dedicated to her academics as well as softball. She holds a strong sense of integrity and is very much respected as a player in my program. Her personality is amazing, not only a dedicated player but also super funny and is always enjoying life. Pitching — strong arm, moves the ball around well. Is able to stay very calm in pressure situations. Takes direction very well. Hitting — Was strong at times and not at other times. She is always working though and willing to take advice and try new things. I have no doubt that she will come back strong this season on the mound and plate. Morgan is a natural leader. She pitched very well for us as a freshman. Morgan will always go where she is needed and make others around her better.

MESSAGE FROM MORGAN
Hello, my name is Morgan Stevenson, and I am a 2022 graduate at Kimberly High School in Kimberly, Wisconsin. I am a 5-4, 125-pound pitcher, and I also play third base and outfield, but will play anywhere I’m needed. I hold a 3.89 GPA (24 ACT), participating in honors classes, such as Honors English. I plan on pursuing further education in the medical field.
As a softball player, my greatest strengths are my pitching movement and speed (58 mph fastball and 42-45 change), communication on field and base running. When not pitching, I have great defensive skills and a strong throwing arm.
Outside of my regularly scheduled softball practices and games, I am continuously working to not only improve my softball skills, but to also increase my strength and stamina. Through my high school, I participate in many strength and conditioning activities. During the school year, I take performance training, which is an intense workout class. I attend after-school weight-lifting programs and a summer strength and conditioning program.
Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I am excited and eager to hear back from you to see how I can fit into your athletic and academic programs!
