Lyndsey Roth is a 2021 OF/C from Lincoln, Nebraska and the Prodigy Easton Elite. Offensively, she will impress with that big lefty stick. Shes a 3/4-hole type hitter and sees the ball well. Ball exit speeds in the upper 60s with smooth, fast hands through the zone. Patient at the dish and will make a pitcher pay if she makes a mistake. Lyndsey is a kid that can go yard at any time, in any situation, so pitchers beware. Defensively, Lyndsey is an asset, whether roaming the grass or behind the plate. Her sub-3 speed enables her to play a legit OF and her arm supporting a 58 mph OH velo backs it up. Behind the plate, Lyndsey has an average pop right at 1.78. She transitions well and is accurate from either knees or in a standing position. Lyndsey has all of the intangibles and is a player her teammates lean on and look up to. Academics first (her dad is the assistant coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University) but keep an eye on this kid as she could definitely get it done at any level. — Scott Woodcock, ScoutU Southeast Head Scout & Assistant Coach at Hiwassee College, text or phone at 423-255-3106 or

My name is Lyndsey Roth. I am a 2021 graduate from North Star High School in Lincoln, Nebraska.  I play my competitive travel ball year round with the Prodigy Easton Elite. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and am working hard to bring that up even more. I dream of playing college softball, and I am certain you will see my determination and dedication to the sport through my ongoing work ethic. I am a catcher and believe my strongest skill set is my blocking and arm control. I work at all of my skills several times a week either with my team, my instructor or on my own. I will be the best player on the field each time I step out or I will work even harder. You won’t see anyone working harder than me! I have a 1.78 pop time, but I am working to get faster there, too. I enjoy breaking down a hitter to find one little weakness that I can help my pitcher take advantage of. I love it! My coach says I am a dependable hitter. I don’t strike out much, and I know exactly what my job is every time I step into the box. I do a lot of tee work to ensure my mechanics are solid. I have hit many home runs, but I am more of a line-drive hitter into the gaps for the most part. I show up to practice before anyone else and usually leave after everyone else as well. As the leader on the field, I feel I can never be good enough, so the work never stops. I will always work harder than everyone else, but I am always trying to learn from everyone else as well. This is important, because I also play other positions such as OF when I am not catching. I will play anywhere my team needs me at any given time and believe that as a catcher I should know how to play them all. When I am not playing, my family and I enjoy our outings together, which is my time to relax a bit but even on vacation, I have a glove and a bat and ready to get my work in. I am open to any school in the country that will give me an opportunity to play and earn my degree. If you believe that I may be good fit for you and your school, please contact me. I look forward to hearing from you and appreciate you reading a little about me.
