DS/L; Kylee is a 3-year varsity volleyball player. As a sophomore, Kylee received 2nd-Team All-Conference recognition, as a junior received 1st-Team All-Conference recognition and was named to an all-tournament team. In just 3 years of high school, Kylee has amassed 1,480 digs (11.6 D/M), 176 aces and a serve percentage of 88.6. In watching Kylee play, she has a knack for defensive execution, she has a keen eye for what is developing in front of her, making the proper read and placing herself in the most optimal defensive position. Kylee has a smooth platform, a quick first step and moves well on the court. Kylee is very strong in serve-receive and digging. As a member of a state championship and three-time conference winning team, Kylee has developed a level of determination and work ethic not seen by many. Kylee has all the intangibles expected of an elite player. I expect great success for Kylee at the next level, and she will be an asset to any program.

Kylee has the leadership skills and drive to be a great libero. She works really hard, evaluating herself and her opponents through video. This last year, Kylee made great strides in her reading skills and anticipating ball movement. She has an innate ability to read the opponent, allowing her to react to tips and hits of all angles. Kylee has a controlled platform. She also has a strong float serve, and was very versatile from the serving line, with the ability to hit any zone or seam. Kylee has been a varsity starter since her freshman year, in which we won the Division 2 State Championship. Her sophomore and junior year she was our floor captain. She was the vocal coach on the floor and often could be heard calling out open shots to our hitters. Besides her communication and energy on the court, what sets Kylee apart from any other player on the team is her mental toughness. She doesn’t let things get to her, shakes off mistakes and is always ready to work hard and learn. Kylee is a three-sport athlete with high academics, which demonstrates her work ethic and experience.
— Jennier Krauklis, Lakeside Lutheran H.S. coach
Kylee is a great communicator on the floor and is always talking to her hitters as to where to put the ball. She’s a good leader as well and gets the respect of her teammates from her play. Her ability to get to balls is why I don’t worry about her position all that much and allows me to focus more on our offense. She has a natural ability to read the plays and react to them before they get to our side. In my practices, she is always leading our group and is one of my team captains, so I expect a lot from her.

MESSAGE FROM KYLEE
My name is Kylee Gnabasik. I go to Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. I graduate in 2021 and play DS/libero. I am 5-foot-3, 127 pounds, and I have a 3.6 GPA and a 21 ACT. I am a three-sport athlete and have earned seven varsity letters thus far, three academic letters, and I am a member of the National Honors Society. I have also received 1st-Team All-Conference as a junior and 2nd-Team All-Conference as a sophomore. I am immensely proud to have been part of our team’s D2 State volleyball championship as a freshman and that we have been conference champions each of the last three years.
I have good leadership skills and have been chosen by my teammates to be a captain my sophomore and junior years and in club. I strive to be a role model for my teammates as well as anyone who is watching, giving 100 percent in both practices and games. I am a member of the National Honors Society and was nominated by teachers at Lakeside for this honor. This past spring break, I was chosen to go to Arizona on a mission trip. I have also volunteered during the summer months to assist my high school coaches in running various grade school sports camps. I strive to reflect Jesus’ love through everything that I do on and off the court.
Thank you for taking time out of your day and taking a look at my profile!! Have a great day and a great upcoming season.
