This 6-foot shooting guard can do it all! 2022 Kacey Ott has excellent ball handling skills, nice use of the left hand with smooth fakes to both the right and left. Powers up strong on the rebound, gets open on the baseline and will drive under the basket for reverse layups. With a 6-foot wingspan, she guards off the ball with intuition and keen peripheral vision to deflect passes, forcing turnovers. With her athletic prowess and tenacity, she is unafraid to take on defenders. Kacey can wiggle through traffic in the paint for baskets. Posts up strong and knows how to get open. Kacey can shoot off-balance and still hit the shot. She sets strong picks with perfect timing, and then good at rolling to the basket for a pass. High percentage reliable shooter from the field. Able to hit the 3 in the clutch. Quick release on the high post on her turnaround jumper. Most impressive off the court is Kacey’s outstanding academic achievement as #1 in her high school class ranking. Solid D2 talent with D1 potential.

My name is Kacey Ott, and I attend Slinger High School in Wisconsin and will graduate in 2022. I am 6-0 tall, weigh 143 pounds and play shooting guard/small forward on my AAU and high school teams. I have a 4.0 GPA and hope to major in either Pre-med or Law. A couple things that make me unique are my 6-foot wingspan and that I was a competitive figure skater.

I am a multi-sport athlete in basketball, cross country and track, with my goal being to play college basketball. Because of my figure skating experience and pitching on a high-performing travel softball team, this has helped with my footwork and hand/eye coordination on the court. I’m a competitive basketball player, but feel my strengths are my speed, my tough off-the-ball defense, my unselfish nature and ability to see open players on the court. I am a versatile player and am willing to fill any role or position that would most benefit the team.

I have a great work ethic and am strong academically. I keep physically fit with offseason training or competing in cross country and track, and I also work on my basketball and ball handling skills with a former WNBA player. I am quite lean and my goal this year is to build up strength and improve my bulk with bench pressing and squats. I am currently taking Honors Math IV and challenging myself with AP Biology, AP Chemistry and AP Language. I am in DECA, will be joining the Outdoors Club, and pride myself being active in my church, volunteering in my community and participating in World Mission Day and other activities to help others.

Thank you for taking the time to view my profile, and I hope to hear from you soon!
