Jordyn Klein

evaluations

Jordyn Klein is a legitimate 2023 outfielder from Omaha Nebraska. She is developing very quickly with her 2.75 speed to 1st. Jordyn is a kid that will keep base runners honest, but if they step out of line she will use her cannon of an arm to make them pay. Offensively, Jordyn is a true triple threat. She’s able to read a defense very well and knows when to lay down a bunt, soft slap or power slap, and her speed will make a defense truly work. Jordyn is usually found in the 1 or 2 hole and has a high on-base percentage, so she will definitely make a pitcher work. Jordyn brings an extraordinary amount of intangibles. She will be a great asset on nearly any roster, and I am excited to see her compete and see where she lands.

MESSAGE FROM JORDYN

My name is Jordyn Klein, and I am a 2023 outfielder from Omaha, Nebraska. I am a triple-threat slap hitter with quick speed and solid footwork. I attend Millard West High School, where I play softball and maintain a 3.7 GPA. I have also been accepted into the Millard Health Science Academy that begins in the fall of 2021. I play competitive travel ball for Nebraska Quakes Prime 16U. One of my favorite things to do before an at-bat is to read the defense and know what kind of slap or bunt to use in that situation. My favorite of the three slaps is to power slap over the outfielder’s head. Currently I am a sub-2.70 runner with a goal to break 2.65. One of my biggest components to a successful outfield is communication, where outfielders have each other’s backs and trust – which only comes with constant communication. My quick speed, strong arm and solid footwork make me a very effective outfielder.

When I am not playing softball, I attend weekly bible study. Also I train, condition and lift weights to grow strength in all components of my body, especially the core. I work with my younger cousin and family friends to improve their softball skills. I love being a part of their development and watching them grow. My family values a strong work ethic and grit. They are always encouraging me to be the best I can be. My oldest brother runs cross country and track for Wichita State University, while my other brother attends the University of Nebraska Lincoln. We are all highly competitive. My goal is to play collegiate softball, and I’m looking for a school where I can excel both on and off the field. Thank you for your consideration!
