SABER Award – Sportsmanship
Jaclyn Dutkiewicz is a very intelligent setter who can command a high-tempo offense. She can play both a 5-1 and 6-2 offensive system. As a setter (primary position), Jaclyn understands the game, implementing a variety of sets that keep the defense guessing and place her attackers in optimal position to make the team successful. Jaclyn is a smart pin hitter, primarily getting time as an OPP. She understands the game and has a variety of attacks that make her successful as an attacker. Jaclyn has an infectious personality. She’s always putting the team before herself. Jaclyn consistently works hard to improve, is a very coachable player and has a lot of resilience. She’s a natural leader, with the team voting her captain for the 2020 high school season. Jaclyn places a lot of emphasis on her academics, boasting a 4.2 weighted GPA. I have no doubt Jaclyn will be successful at the collegiate level.

Skill Set: Setter, RS, OH
Athletic Ability: Outstanding athlete. Works hard in all cases & scenarios and never gives up on the play.
Character: Varsity roster since her freshman year and will be one of our captains in the fall as a junior. The team voted her in as a captain at the end of last season. She was the highest vote-getter by far. She’s a great person, fantastic leader and outstanding teammate. Any program would be lucky to have her on their roster when she leaves high school.
Work Ethic: Works hard in all situations and drills without prompting. I know no matter what, her hard work will be present. Bad set, bad match, bad sequence – it doesn’t matter. She’ll keep working hard – that trait is something that is unshakable in Jaclyn.
College Level: D1 or D2 easily. I’ve coached club and high school for almost 10 years now, and looking at past players that have gone D1 for setting or even hitting for that matter, Jaclyn is right there with them.

MESSAGE FROM JACLYN
My name is Jaclyn Dutkiewicz, and I am a 2022 graduate of Franklin High School in Wisconsin. My height is 5’10” and my weight is 155 pounds. My main position is a setter, but I also play as an opposite hitter and, as needed, an outside hitter. My cumulative weighted GPA was a 4.2 this past year and my desired college major is nursing. My personality and affability makes me both a unique individual and athlete. I get along with others very well, and I feel that is one of my greatest strengths as a person and as a teammate. I was named 1st-Team All-Conference as a junior and Team MVP as a sophomore.
My leadership skills are demonstrated on the court through my positive attitude and communication. For example, I know the importance of executing positive energy – especially when the team is down. Off the court, I also believe that I have a hard work ethic when I’m not playing volleyball. In order to improve my speed, agility and strength, I complete numerous workouts such as running, stretching, cardio and lifting in my own time. During quarantine, I designated time to my game by making a volleyball rebound board and practicing with that when I didn’t have another person to assist me.
Along with my athletic strengths, I take pride in my academic achievements. Throughout the offseason, I take a lot of time doing homework and studying for upcoming tests. Sophomore year, I took one AP class which I was successful in. This year, I will be taking three AP classes. I know this will be challenging, but I am a motivated student. In addition to academics and athletics, I am an active member of both Relay for Life and Sign Language Club. I enjoy Relay for Life because I’ve had family members affected by cancer, and it is a rewarding task knowing that my hard work is making a difference. I also enjoy expanding my communication skills through Sign Language Club. Additionally, I donate my time volunteering for my church. This includes shopping for their food pantry and gatherings. My volunteering commitment will continue as I record hours for the National Honors Society.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, and I hope we can talk soon!
