2022 Erin Stack is a 6-foot-3 versatile triple threat. An athletic power forward/stretch 4, small forward or shooting guard, she consistently shoots with confidence from the 3-point line and all areas of the court – top of the key, wing or baseline – she can hit it. Plays with the poise and intensity of a top point guard. Smooth shooter with nice form and quick jump shot off the dribble or step back. Great ball handling skills. Smooth fakes and quick drives to the basket. Will weave in and out of defenders to reach the paint. Takes on the biggest centers and blows by them for layups or tough shots around the hoop. Outstanding defensively with great length (outstretched arms, blocks and deflections are common). Rebounds are a given. She boxes out, has strong hands and is good with put-backs. Court IQ is excellent, and she’s efficient in the pick-and-roll game. Able to shoot with her left hand or off-balance. Unselfish player with strong vision and passing within the team concept. With physical maturation over the next four years, Erin has the potential to be a stand out all-around player. She’s got game – and a solid “B” average in the classroom.

MESSAGE FROM ERIN
My name is Erin Stack, and I am a 2022 graduate of Saint Charles North H.S. in Illinois. I am 6-foot-3 and 158 lbs. I play mostly stretch 4 for both my high school and AAU teams, but occasionally I play the 5 in high school. My cumulative GPA is 3.0 with a SAT score of 1120, and I’m interested in majoring in education or physical therapy. Education has been an interest of mine since I was a kid. Most kids in kindergarten wanted to be a vet or an astronaut, but when my brother was in preschool, I played teacher with him. Since then being a teacher has been in the back of my mind. My interest in physical therapy was recently sparked when I went to my older sister’s ACL rehab my freshman year. I’ve taken a lot of health classes to confirm my interest, and I also realized I will always be shocked by how complex our bodies are.
My family is a huge basketball family, and I mean it when I say huge. I’ve been surrounded by this sport my entire life. My mom and dad both played college basketball and so did many of my aunts, uncles and cousins. There is a lot of pressure when everyone around you is telling you how great you are and how much better you can be. I have such high expectations for myself on the court, but because I have so many people in my corner to give advice and help me succeed, I am able to achieve my goals. These people inspire me to work harder, whether it’s my teammates, coaches or family. I work out 6-7 times a week, sometimes 3-4 hours in a day. I know that my schedule would be unbearable without my teammates and coaches in the gym. My team pushes me to be a better leader, and they hold me responsible during drills and in games. I am a captain on both my AAU team and my high school team. I’ve been nicknamed “the mayor” by my family, and recently my AAU coach picked it up too. They call me this because of how talkative I am, joking about me going into a room not knowing anyone and leaving being friends with everyone. I love getting to know people; however, joining a new team for my last summer before college was hard. My teammates this year are amazing and made the transition easy. I’m so thankful that they trust me to help lead our team.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me as a person and an athlete, and I look forward to being in contact!
