Danika Lagodzinski is solid 2022 versatile infielder, proficient at any position, but mostly plays 3B and MI. Solid glove and good range with quick hands and able to transition well. Can even catch in a pinch if needed. Working on being more explosive to the ball, which will help her lateral movement. She’s hardworking, highly coachable and developing rapidly. Great leadership abilities as the team captain. Offensively, she generally hits in the 2-hole because of her ability to get on base and hit for a high average. Being more explosive will help improve her 3.1 speed to 1st as well. Danika is well spoken, articulate and has a high softball IQ. Tons of intangibles any coach would love to have on the roster.

MESSAGE FROM DANIKA
Hello, my name is Danika Lagodzinski, and I’m a 2022 3B/MI from Fort Myers, Florida. I attend Southwest Florida Christian Academy and maintain a 3.7 GPA. My softball career began in Iowa at age 5 and continues now in SW Florida. I play club softball with So Cal Athletics Krohn 18u. My metrics include a 60 MPH overhand throw and a 68 MPH exit velocity.
I committed to softball at a young age over soccer and basketball. From the first moment I started playing softball, I’ve loved the sport and that love has grown every day since. I am usually found on the field practicing or in the garage improving myself. I have made lifelong friendships with both players and coaches. The memories I’ve made in softball are like no other and will never compare to any another memory I might make. I feel that my greatest assets include my versatility along with my bat. In my travel ball and high school seasons, coaches have put me anywhere and I’ve earned their trust to perform. I’m a power hitter and have excellent eyes in the box by being able to read the ball. Coaches have always placed me at the top of the lineup due to my ability to get on base – reflected by my .670 OBP.
In my life, I have demonstrated leadership both on and off the field. As a sophomore, I was elected by my teammates as captain of the varsity team. I am involved with the Student Leadership Academy and Student Leadership University at my school. In my spare time, I volunteer with the Gulf Coast Humane Society, helping care for and rehabilitate the animals. I am also the equipment manager for middle and high school football, maintaining equipment before and during the games, assisting the athletic trainer and helping to ensure the health of the players.
Thank you for taking time to learn more about me, and I hope you consider me in this recruiting process.
