Connor Brown is a 2021 golfer with tremendous raw ability. Featuring a swing speed over 125 mph, he can drive the ball 320 yards. This allows him to hit most par-5s in two shots, along with short irons into par-4s. Connor only has been playing competitive tournaments for 1 year, but he already has his scoring average in the mid-70s.  At 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, Connor previously focused his athletic talents on the baseball diamond. Now that he’s solely committed to golf, there is still room to improve his consistency. Connor occasionally has a big number that can disrupt a special round. He is a strong mid-range putter and hits 65% of greens in regulation.  Connor is quite self-motivated, and he enjoys the challenge of accomplishing new feats with his golf game. He practices every day and works with Allen Terrell, the swing coach for the PGA’s Dustin Johnson. Connor also is taking care of business in school with his 3.9 GPA and a schedule full of AP courses. This is one student-athlete who can definitely make a positive impact at a big-time program. — Jon Feyen, ScoutU Golf Scout, 920-979-3093,

My name is Connor Brown, and I am a 2021 collegiate golf prospect. I’ve always had a love for the game of golf, and decided in fall 2018 to focus solely on the sport. I am 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, and many years of extensive baseball training has helped my golf game at an early stage. My physical and athletic ability has helped me excel in any sport I have been fortunate to play.  With my swing speed of 125-130 mph, and ball speed around 186 mph, my average drive is approximately 320 yards. During my first year of high school golf (2019), I made All-Conference and qualified individually for the State Championship only to be eliminated in sudden death. My Carolina Golf Association Handicap is 0.1, and I consistently shoot in the low- to mid-70s. My goal is to continue to work hard and average under par by the end of 2020. I plan to play an aggressive schedule for the remainder of the year and 2020.  I am a team player and always try to encourage and assist my teammates throughout practices and matches. My GPA is currently 3.7 (unweighted), and I take a rigorous schedule of AP, honors and college prep courses. I am committed to the game of golf and have aspirations of playing at a high level collegiately. I’m dedicated and will continue to work hard every day to improve my game and be the best player and person that I can be. I feel strongly that I would be an asset to your golf team and university.  I look forward to speaking with you and learning more about your program and school!
