evaluations

2022 Charlotte Smith is a straight-A student from Mount Paran Christian in Kennesaw, GA. She is a triple-threat from the dish with smooth hands and feet through the box and 2.8 speed up the line. She does a good job of reading her defense and executing to make a defense work for the out. She will fit well in the 1 or 2 hole for almost any roster. Defensively, Charlotte is a solid middle infielder with some natural ability to read the ball and explode laterally. Her speed will keep her competitive there as well. Because Charlotte just wants to pursue her dream of competing at the next level, she could also make a solid OF for a program needing her speed and route/angle abilities. Good teammate with a solid work ethic, and I fully expect her to compete for a starting spot as a freshman in most programs.

MESSAGE FROM CHARLOTTE

My name is Charlotte Smith from Kennesaw, GA. I am a 2022 switch hitter, but I primarily stay on the left side to slap. I throw right handed and I play middle infield primarily; however, I have been utilized as an all-over utility player. I will play wherever my team/coach needs me to help my team be successful. I play for the GA Firecrackers – Cooper travel team. I feel I play an important role on my team. My strongest quality as a middle infielder is my speed, being light on my feet and my ability to control runners with my arm. I am never afraid to lay out for the ball and my coaches, other coaches, umpires and parents have all commented on my ability on defense.

As a short stop, I have learned so much about leadership. I have the responsibility to keep my teammates up and motivated during a close game. This is important, because I have to assess the entire game, shift my defense when necessary and be that leader for my team.

I am very dedicated to becoming the best player I can be and improving every day. I spend time at hitting lessons, at practice or running on my own. I am a dedicated person, and I know my job on the field. When I am up to bat, my coaches know if they need me to hit behind the runner, drop a bunt down the line or hit to the fence, I am going to strive to make it happen. I strive to be the best for my team, but I could not do so without my faith in Jesus Christ and the support of my family and coaches.

It is my desire to attend college and play softball. I have not decided what I intend to major in just yet, but I have a few ideas. Reaching this goal will take hard work and strong academics, so I always push for a 4.0 GPA and accept nothing less. I want to be a well-rounded and educated student-athlete.

Thank you coach for taking the time to review my profile, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
