She hones her skill-set by taking lessons weekly for hitting as well as strength and conditioning training. Her select coach, Glenn Clark, pushes her hard and she is developing nicely. She is a tough competitor who keeps her emotions in check and understands her role as a leader. She has worked on her craft to continue to grow as a person and player. MESSAGE FROM CADANCE
My name is Cadance Summerlin, and I am a 2022 graduate at Cherokee High School in Georgia. I am a student-athlete who is a 2B/OF and utility player for my varsity team and my travel ball team (Georgia Fire). I pride myself on being a versatile player who can be counted on at multiple positions.
I have been playing softball since I was 6 years old, and it has always been my dream to play college softball. I understand that academics are my No. 1 priority, and I am currently carrying a 3.8 GPA. When I am not studying and doing homework, I spend the majority of my time in the cages, in the garage or on the field, developing myself as a player and teammate. My coaches tell me that I am a very coachable player and they can always count on me to do the right things to be successful. I view myself as a student-athlete who is passionate about being the best that I can be and putting in the work needed to be successful, even when it’s difficult. I am looking forward to continuing my development over the next few years, seeing what my path is and finding my fit.
