5-foot-11 Aliyah Robran displays immense physical strength and confident athleticism on the basketball court. She can muscle-up for layups, rebounds tough and is great at boxing out. She’s had many games with double-digit rebounds. “In-your-face” defense distracts shooters, while forcing missed shots and blocking many others. Excellent fast footwork and range on defense. Hard for opponents to get by her. Tough defensive player with great hands and anticipation, resulting in multiple steals. Quick for her size. Strong ball handling with both hands and with agility. Drives aggressively into the paint and puts up shots efficiently (60% FG). Aliyah is an unselfish player who often looks for the open teammate. She has a quick release on her jump shot and squares up nicely to the basket.

“Aliyah is a game-changer on both ends of the floor. She defends all 5 positions and can outrebound the other team by herself. Offensively, Aliyah adds possessions with her aggressive play around the basket. Aliyah is always one of the most – if not the most – athletic player on the floor. Her passion and willingness to be coached make her a great fit in any college program. Aliyah will be a 2, 3 or 4 at the college level.”
— James Fasset, MN Suns Coach
Last high school season Aliyah became a factor at Rockford, earning a spot in the starting lineup and proving she could compete effectively at the varsity level. This summer, Robran took things up a notch and the effort she has put in on skill development with trainer Jamal Guy bore fruit. Aliyah has a plenty of size on a big frame and she’s a multi-sport athlete with state track & field accolades on her resume, which also happens to include a 4.0 GPA. Aliyah has earned the #145 ranking.
— Prep Hoops (Summer 2020)
Aliyah is an elite athlete with great size, strength and mobility. She is a dominant force on the court and in the training/weight room. During each workout, Aliyah displays extraordinary drive and focus and continuously improves her athleticism. Also, she has exceptional work ethic and dedication to consistently give 100% effort. The effort she puts in has produced an outstanding combination of speed, power and conditioning. Aliyah is a high-level athlete and will make an incredible impact at any level. Additionally, her leadership skills will be an invaluable asset to any team, as she has an impeccable work ethic, energy, drive and ability to be vocal with her teammates, which is critical to team culture and success.

MESSAGE FROM ALIYAH
I am Aliyah Robran, a 2022 power forward from Rockford High School in Minnesota. I stand 5-foot-11 and weigh 145 pounds. I maintain a 4.07 GPA and scored a 25 on my first ACT. During college, I would like to go into the medical/biology major. My leadership and my strong faith are a couple things that make me special. I also believe my height, strength and athleticism, along with my ability to handle the ball with both hands, play the post position or drive as a wing make me stand out from others.
Outside of scheduled practices and games, I work out every Saturday and Sunday early morning with my personal strength/speed trainer and my personal basketball trainer (during the offseason I go more often). All my hard work and training has also helped me become a state champion in track & field. At school I take honors and CIS classes while maintaining mostly straight A’s and being on the A Honor Roll every year. I am also a FCA leader, track captain, involved in concert band and pep band and do a good deal of community and volunteer work.
I know that as a college coach your schedule is very busy, so I’d like to thank you for taking the time and effort to learn more about me.
