EVALUATIONS

Alexis Jackson is a 2023 RHP from Owensboro, KY. Alexis already has good size and good presence in the circle. She has multiple pitches (fastball, curve, screw, change, and working on drop and rise now) with solid spin and movement. I first saw her at the Vette City Showcase where I had her on radar living at 56-57 pretty consistently and occasionally touching 60. She forecasts very well! She will grow more and continue to get stronger. Leg drive is consistent but will also get better. I am excited to see where she lands after gaining experience with the new high level select team she is with and with growth and maturity. She already maintains many intangibles today.

MESSAGE FROM ALEXIS

Hi, my name is Alexis Jackson, and I am a 5-foot-7 2023 RHP/1B from Owensboro, Kentucky. I bat right-handed and throw right-handed. Pitching wise, I have a fastball, change-up, screw ball and curve ball. My fastball, screw and curve are consistently in the mid 50s. I am putting in a lot of hard work to increase this speed to the 60s. My change-up is consistently in the high 30s/low 40s. I am also learning how to throw a drop and riseball, so I can improve my pitching. I also play first base, but I am always open to playing more positions to make me a better ball player. I also play high school basketball to help me stay in shape for softball season and to help increase my running speed and to build my endurance.

When I am not practicing or playing in games, I am spending time with my family or friends. Without the support I have from them, I would not be where I am right now. My parents spend a lot of their time to help me become a better all around softball player.

I have always dreamed of playing softball in college and will do whatever it takes to get there. I have been told that I should pursue this dream and could possibly play at a high level, but as long as I find a place that I love, the level doesn’t matter to me. Juggling my studies and athletics shouldn’t be a problem for me, because I am driven and well-organized. I believe you will see that in me when we meet.

Thank you for reading a little about me, and I look forward to hearing from you. If you have any advice for me in order to reach my dreams, I would appreciate hearing that as well. Please also feel free to contact my scout, Coach Scott Woodcock at 423-255-3106 or by email at Scott@ScoutU.com.
