5-foot-10, 160 pounds. 3B/RHP/Utility. Bats R. Throws R. Very good athlete (also 3-time 1st-Team All-Conference in volleyball). Power hitter (9 HRs during club season, 72 mph exit). Bats No. 3/4. Good extension, fluid swing, uses lower half to help generate power. Hits to all fields, but more of a pull hitter. Excels vs. higher velocity pitchers. Working to improve identifying pitches better and laying off riseballs. At 3B, has strong arm (61 mph) and athletic actions. Leader on the field. Working to improve game situational awareness. In the circle, fastball sits 57-58 mph and touches 59 with excellent location (can hit corners consistently, 80-90% accuracy). Very accurate overall pitcher. Rarely issues walks. Changeup (42 mph, circle changeup) dives late and is deceptive. Dropball has late break and looks like a changeup but faster (54 mph). Curveball (51 mph) starts straight before cutting left. Recently has been practicing riseball (53 mph). Doesn’t rattle. Strong attitude. Mentally tough, even when errors are made behind her. Great teammate. Strong work ethic. Gets pitching lessons, practices with bow net in her back yard and also hits into tarp in her basement in the winter months. Very coachable. Always looking to improve. Excellent student at a top-notch school (University School of Milwaukee). 3.6 GPA, but would be above 4.0 at most other schools due to the tougher grading school. Undecided on major.
— Jason Lauren, ScoutU Head Scout, 414-303-7607,

Abbie is an excellent student-athlete and a high character young woman that will be an asset to any team that is fortunate enough to have her on their team.  Abbie is a very courteous and determined person and player.  She has become a leader on our team by her strong work ethic and leads by example. Abbie is able to basically play every position on the field, she has a very high softball IQ, but she is always eager to learn and grow to become better.  She is able to make all the plays required on the left side of the field and has a plus arm and range.  She can hit for power and hit from left field to right center with no issues.  She will definitely be able to handle the next level not only physically, but mentally and emotionally. If you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact me at any of the methods below.

Hello, my name is Abbie Stigler, and I’m a 2022 graduate at the University School of Milwaukee in River Hills, Wisconsin. I am very blessed to have attended this school since my freshman year and since it is a college prep school, its high academics and independence have greatly prepared me for my future. I have a 3.6 GPA (24 ACT), with AP courses such as AP Environmental Science. I am unsure of what I want to major in, but I’ve been exploring my options and finding interest in a variety of fields such as marine biology, film and business. I am a 5-foot-10, 160-pound third baseman and pitcher (59 mph fastball), but I am willing to play anywhere on the field. I have played softball since I was 8 years old, and my love for the game increases with every season I get to play. My infield velocity is 61 mph, I have a 63 mph arm in the OF and my bat exit velo is 72 mph. I was named the Woodland East Conference Player of the Year as a junior (.600 BA, 1.799 OPS, 8 HR; 1.57 ERA, 227 SO in 143 IP).

My strengths as a softball player include my footwork in the infield and my work ethic both on and off the diamond. I consistently work on improving the movement and velocity of all my pitches, reading pitches out of the hand while batting and improving my overall strength as an athlete. Outside of practice, I take pitching lessons every week, in addition to extra reps multiple times a week in my backyard during the summer and at a local gym throughout the winter. I also take advantage of access I have to the weight room at my school by working out two times/week. I participate in high school volleyball during the fall (3-time 1st-Team All-Conference), so I am also conditioning every day throughout that season.

Thank you so much for reading about what makes me, me! I look forward to talking further and learning as much as I can about your athletic and academic programs!
